Ministry Expansion Project Updates for the week of May 10, 2026

Facility/Programming

·   The best door to use to safely access the inside of the church building is the main doors on 9th Avenue. Please enter through those doors and navigate appropriately. Also, the staircase in the narthex by those same doors is the best staircase to use to get downstairs. The elevator is also still available. 

·   Afternoon Bible Study will meet downstairs on Thursday, May 12.

·   The drop box (and mailbox) has been moved to the North side of the church.

·   Water/sewer work will start on Monday, May 11; therefore, parking in the west alley will be blocked off for a short time.

 Work Days

·   Date TBD - Remove the ceiling tile and grid in the upstairs fellowship hall. More information will be communicated as soon as the details are firmed up. Also, if you’d like the ceiling tile, you may have them. Habitat Restore will not take them.

·   If you’d like to receive updates about work days via text message, please let Jessie know.

 Construction Related Updates

·   Trees have been removed.

·   Asbestos remediation is complete in the parsonage and basement; however, work still needs to be completed upstairs. On Monday, the hallway by the offices will be closed for asbestos remediation. And then they will work on the upstairs fellowship hall and the Baptism classroom.

·   Site/utilities work will start happening on Monday, May 11. This includes both exterior and interior work.  

·   The parsonage was demolished on May 11.

·   The masons will remove and infill the existing south basement windows this week.

To ensure campaign success, commitments are requested at this time. You are encouraged to pray about how you can help the campaign and give as you are able. Commitment cards are available below, on the bulletin board in the SE entryway at Mount Calvary, or by contacting the church office. The fulfillment phase of the campaign will end December 31, 2027.
