Ministry Expansion Project Updates for the week of June 28, 2026

Facility/Programming

·   Youth Hour on Wednesday, July 8 will be held at Hillcrest Park. The group will either play ultimate football or pickleball! All youth in grades 5-12 are invited. Bring a friend.

·   Afternoon Bible Study on Thursday, July 9 at 1:30pm will be held at Park Place Assisted Living (104 4th Street).

·   The North church door is accessible! You may once again use this door to access the church offices during the week.

·   The North boulevard parking is now available. And, a reminder that you may park on both sides of 9th Avenue on Sundays. Please save the closest parking spots for people who could benefit from a closer spot. Also, if you would like assistance or “valet” parking, please talk to an elder or usher.

·   Concrete/asphalt work on the North portion of the alley is complete, and we’ve regained those parking spots as well. However, there is still construction at the South end of the alley – please navigate through this area with caution.  

·   The south doors in the front of sanctuary (that lead to the old fellowship hall & what will now be bathrooms), are blocked off due to the construction. In the event of an emergency, you would be able to push open the doors and break through the plastic barrier.

·   Adult Bible study on Sunday mornings will be held in the sanctuary.

 

Construction Related Updates

·   The plumbing inspection has been completed for the new bathrooms upstairs. And now, the contractor has started to sheetrock the walls.

·   Outside, the contractor is waiting for materials to do the necessary underground work and then the concrete floor will be poured. Should be happening soon!

To ensure campaign success, commitments are requested at this time. You are encouraged to pray about how you can help the campaign and give as you are able. Commitment cards are available below, on the bulletin board in the SE entryway at Mount Calvary, or by contacting the church office. The fulfillment phase of the campaign will end December 31, 2027.
